Sales Representative Training
The Need
Uponor sales representatives need to be knowledgeable in topics pertinent to it’s customers and potential customers, as well as being able to describe Uponor’s solutions and differentiators. Uponor’s training team determined the best strategy would be to implement a variety of core online curriculum.
Specific courses were identified with topics that include an Introduction to Hydronics, Distribution Systems, Emitters and Energy Sources, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Uponor Kitting Services.
These courses need to reside within Uponor’s learning management system (LMS) to track the sales representatives progress through the training.
The Solution
Uponor chose KDG to support and work closely with it’s internal team of subject matter experts (SME’s). After the SME’s developed the final curriculum, all content was handed-off to KDG to develop the online courses.
Concepts such as Hydronics, HVAC Systems and Energy Sources can be difficult to grasp. To better support the learning experience, KDG created engaging visuals to help convey each concept by using animations and interactivity.
Each course is broken down into multiple lessons. This provides a better user experience since the sales representative can complete a 10-15 minute lesson in one session.
Each course provides mastery quizzing at the end for a competency check. The results are passed to the LMS.
These courses are essential to establishing the basic knowledge that sales representatives need to successfully sell Uponor products.
